Using a stand-up desk such as Upstand has become a popular way to increase movement throughout the day and to avoid the potential risks of prolonged sitting and sedentary behaviour.
According to NSW Health "Sedentary behaviour such as prolonged sitting poses significant health risks. Australian workers spend approximately 76 percent of their time at work sitting, which equates to about 5 hours per day. A quarter of the population report that they sit for more than 8 hours per day."
